Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited has adopted the standard charges as defined by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) for the following services. These specific service charges have been approved by the OEB. Please note HST applies where applicable.

Customer administration service charges
- Account history
- Applied for any customer requests for copies or summaries of the customer's account history information.
- Charge: $25.00
- Duplicate invoices for previous billing
- Applied for any customer requests for duplicate copies of bills or invoices that have already been issued.
- Charge: $25.00
- Request for other billing or system information
- Applied for any requests for general billing or system information by customers, developers, building managers, or other parties.
- Charge: $25.00
- Easement letter
- Applied for any request for records of registered or unregistered easements or any rights affecting a property.
- Charge: $25.00
- Income tax letter
- Applied for any customer requests for billing information required for income tax purposes.
- Charge: $25.00
- Account set up charge/change of occupancy charge (plus credit agency costs if applicable)
- Applied when a new account is opened by a customer with Toronto Hydro, or when an existing account is transferred to a new address.
- Charge: $35.00
- Returned cheque (plus bank charges)
- Applied for any non-sufficient fund cheques sent to Toronto Hydro.
- Charge: $25.00
- Special Meter Reads
- Applied for any special meter reads requested by a customer.
- Charge: $55.00
- Meter Dispute Charge plus Measurement Canada fees
- This charge is associated with a customer request to have Measurement Canada conduct a third party meter accuracy or billing dispute test. The charge is only applied if the meter that the customer believes to be defective is found to be measuring correctly, or if the billing in dispute is determined to have been correct.

Non-payment service charges
- Late Payment Charge
- Interest is charged on any amount past due at a daily rate of 0.04896% compounded at the time of billing from the due date until receipt of such amount and all accrued interest (effective interest rate of 19.56% per annum).
- Reconnection at meter — during regular hours
- Applied upon reconnection of the customer's electricity service during regular hours, following a standard at meter disconnection for non-payment.
- Charge: $120.00
- Reconnection at meter — after regular hours
- Applied upon reconnection of the customer's electricity service after regular hours, following a standard at meter disconnection for non-payment. This charge will only be applied if the reconnection is requested by the customer to take place outside of regular hours.
- Charge: $400.00
- Reconnection at pole — during regular hours
- Applied upon reconnection of the customer's electricity service during regular hours when no direct access to the meter was available at the time of the disconnection for non-payment.
- Charge: $300.00
- Reconnection at pole — after regular hours
- Applied upon reconnection of the customer's electricity service after regular hours when no direct access to the meter was available at the time of the disconnection for non-payment. This charge will only be applied if reconnection is requested by the customer to take place outside of regular hours.

- Disconnect/Reconnect at meter — during regular hours*
- Applied upon request to disconnect or reconnect a customer's electricity service at the meter during regular hours. This charge will also be applied to any disconnection or reconnection required to be undertaken by Toronto Hydro as a result of a customer's non-compliance with Toronto Hydro's Conditions of Service.

- Disconnect/Reconnect at meter — after regular hours*
- Applied upon request to disconnect or reconnect a customer's electricity service at the meter after regular hours. This charge will also be applied to any disconnection or reconnection required to be undertaken by Toronto Hydro as a result of a customer's non-compliance with Toronto Hydro's Conditions of Service.
- Charge: $400.00
- Disconnect/Reconnect at pole — during regular hours*
- Applied upon request to disconnect or reconnect a customer's electricity service at the pole or overhead transformer during regular hours. This charge will also be applied to any disconnection or reconnection required to be undertaken by Toronto Hydro as a result of a customer's non-compliance with Toronto Hydro's Conditions of Service.
- Charge: $300.00
- Disconnect/Reconnect at pole — after regular hours*
- Applied upon a request to disconnect or reconnect a customer's electricity service at the pole or overhead transformer after regular hours. This charge will also be applied to any disconnection or reconnection required to be undertaken by Toronto Hydro as a result of a customer's non-compliance with Toronto Hydro's Conditions of Service.
- Charge: $820.00
- Temporary Service Install and Remove — Overhead — No Transformer
- Applied to any requests for a temporary service connection that can be accommodated from Toronto Hydro's overhead network without the need for a separate transformer installation. This charge is generally limited to 120/240V services not exceeding 200A, with a service drop of up to 30 metres in length. All other types of temporary connections are charged to customers based on Toronto Hydro's actual incurred costs.
- Charge: $2,040.00
- Specific Charge for Access to the Power Poles (Wireline attachments) — per pole, per year
- This charge applies to Canadian carriers as defined by the Telecommunications Act and cable companies that operate in Ontario, which are permitted through regulations to attach equipment to Toronto Hydro's power poles.
- Charge: $44.50
*Note: Eligible low-income customers qualify for one free temporary disconnection per rolling year (a period of 12 consecutive months). Residential customers are deemed eligible low-income customers if they applied for and received approval for the Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) or the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP). Any additional isolations requested within this 12-month period will be charged to customers at our regular rates.
