Self-serve options to help keep you safe and informed.
We’re continuously working to provide you with more options to engage with us online. Whether you’re accessing your online account, contacting us during an outage or reporting an issue, we're here for you.
To help serve you better, we currently offer the following online tools and services.
We recently launched a new outage map. It provides a more user-friendly way to access outage information, as well as improved reliability and functionality.
You can now:
View outages by location or ward
Search for outages by address or geolocation
Explore different map styles, including road, satellite and hybrid views
Enable weather radar
Access other relevant information and resources
Our outage map shows where outages are taking place, approximately how many customers are affected, the current estimated time of restoration, and crew status. Updated every 10 minutes, 24/7.
The Toronto Hydro mobile app provides access to our outage and construction maps, your online account, and other tools and services. The app is available in the Apple App Store for iOS devices (version 14.3 and newer) and in the Google Play Store for Android devices (version 7.0 and newer).
Download the app to:
View details on current outages
Report an outage in your area
View information about our construction projects (including planned outages)
Access your account (view bills, sign up for outage notifications, register for eBills and more)
Use other tools and services (contact options, report a problem and submit a service request)
Bill downloads
If you download your bill(s), you may not receive a download notification within the app. However, the bill(s) will be saved to the Downloads folder on your device.
Privacy and security
Toronto Hydro does not permanently store or share any personal information from the app. User information is only temporarily stored within the app while the app is in use. Once the app is closed, all user information is deleted.
The app will track your location only if you accept the geo location prompt on your device. Geo location is not connected to your user identity.
The app has gone through rigorous security testing and continues to adhere to strict security measures and standards.
Biometric authentication
The app does not support fingerprint and/or face ID authentication. For iOS devices, you can use the native password utility on your iPhone. Android devices do not support this type of authentication.
Have a question about your account? Use our customer chat for any account-related inquiries. This live chat feature is available within your self-serve portal, which means that you have to log in to your online account or register for access.
Representatives are available Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Our interactive streetlight map allows you to easily locate, report and check the status of streetlight issues online. Spot a streetlight out? Help keep our communities well-lit and safe by reporting the issue.
Our construction map provides you with information about planned outages and construction projects. As we continue working to improve grid safety and reliability throughout the city, check the map to find details about work happening in your area.
