Before we begin...
For emergency vault access, call Toronto Hydro immediately at 416-542-8000 and press 1.
This form is for customers who need access to their customer-owned vaults or equipment. For safety purposes, Toronto Hydro locks all vaults and other enclosures containing high-voltage equipment. Upon request, we provide access to the customer or contractor for maintenance, repairs or inspections.
If you received a Customer Action Form (CAF), please indicate your unique CAF number in the request form.
Note: If your vault requires an isolation (temporary disconnection and/or reconnection) or full disconnection from Toronto Hydro's system, you need to book this through an approved Toronto Hydro contractor who will make arrangements on your behalf. To request an isolation or disconnection, submit a request on our service connections page.
To confirm whether you need an isolation or full disconnection, please review your CAF or send an email to customeractionform@torontohydro.com.
Please note that, as a vault owner, you’re responsible for:
- Maintaining the property in a condition that is safe and that does not inhibit the operation or threaten the integrity or reliability of equipment or infrastructure owned by the customer or Toronto Hydro
- Completing repairs after receiving a CAF.
- Obtaining and hiring the appropriate contractor who is authorized to complete the scope of work
Toronto Hydro will provide property owners with one vault access appointment (up to four hours), on a rolling 12-month schedule, at no charge. A charge will apply for any additional appointments within the 12-month period or appointments longer than four hours. If payment is required, we’ll provide you with a Job Quotation and payment instructions. Payment must be received before an appointment is scheduled.
