Get school-ready with Wattson's back-to-school colouring contest

The start of a fresh school year has arrived, and Toronto Hydro and Wattson are celebrating with a fun challenge for Toronto students.

Whether your child is excited to meet a new teacher, pick out their favourite school supplies or reunite with friends, it's the perfect time to get creative and show off their artistic skills.

We're inviting students in grades one to six to participate in Wattson's back-to-school colouring contest for a chance to win one of 10 back-to-school prize packs! Simply download Wattson's Back-to-School Activity Sheet (PDF, 5.6 MB), colour it in to bring it to life, and submit the completed artwork with the help of a parent or guardian.

Ten lucky students will win a back-to-school prize pack filled with the following school-ready goodies:

  • A Toronto Hydro backpack, water bottle and Wattson plushie
  • A colouring book
  • Back-to-school supplies
  • A $100 Walmart gift card

Whether your child prefers crayons, markers or pencil crayons, we can't wait to see the creativity, imagination and colourful ideas they bring to the page.

The contest is open until October 15, 2026, giving students plenty of time to create their masterpiece and enter for a chance to win.

Submit your child's artwork

No purchase necessary. Contest begins on September 15, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and ends on October 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST. There is a total of ten (10) prizes available to be won as follows: a Back-to-School Prize Pack (approximate retail value: two hundred and fifteen dollars [$215.00]). Skill-testing question required. Open to legal residents of the City of Toronto in the Province of Ontario who are students in grades one to six who complete the contest colouring page and who have the consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter the Contest. Entries may only be submitted by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a child, and no entries submitted directly by a minor entrant will be accepted. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received before contest closes. There is a limit of one Entry per minor entrant.
